Grow and make your own natural skincare

A fun workshop was had by all at the Whetstone Stray Allotments last Saturday.  Running the workshops in conjunction with the Women’s Environmental Network – we made a herb infused body scrub, a lavender and tea tree deodorant, and a yarrow and calendula hand salve. The hand salve would be very useful to soften, soothe, and clean hands after a long day gardening.

Whetstone Stray Allotments is a busy place, with over 100 allotments and a community plot. Unfortunately it was a very damp day for a tour but we did manage to take some pictures of the flourishing fruit and vegetables.

Using wax from the resident beekeeper and allotments herbs  it was a very hands on workshop. Thanks to Capital Growth, WEN and Whetstone for making it a great success.
